Morning

You have the chance to make a difference for future generations - it starts with a decision.
every great person, one day made a decision they were going to be great, they were going to do the work to get there.

it's literally you making a decision that we've had enough of the past, (get digusted with the past) and make a decision to make a difference for the future.

helping others, helps us make a difference for our family.

stop overthinking the journey

frontload a whole heap of decisions, do the work and you won't have time to second guess your decisions. create so much momentum that you just hang on for the ride.

If we could bottle the amount of time, beating ourselves up, comparing, second guessing - and give that time back to us we would have a whole different world today.

You are ONE decision from being on a different path than you grew up in. If you tend to self sabotage, do so much work you won't have time to think about it.

start up to 1 mil - you can get there by working harder. hand 2 hand combat
many people go backwards from there, easier to make 1/2 mil.
interesting dynamic over 1 mill - from h and to hand combat to chess.
physically can't handle any more hand to hand - got to do more chess.
chess is better by all accounts.

the time in chess makes you expotentially more money than hand to hand combat.

YOU CAN'T MAKE BIG MOVES MAKING SMALL DECISIONS.

big moves = big risks = big teams = big leadership = big payoff

If you get caught up in the day to day, you'll never do big moves.

let go of some of the small decisions.

the only reason someone likes bookkeeping is because they don't want to do sales calls.

MORE BIG MOVES - LESS SMALL DECISIONS.

The way we do is we become Capitalists.

The heart of man is the what makes capitalism Bad

We make a full time move in deploying capital

that's chess - just make moves.
There's more than one type of captial.

  1. Financial Capital - money. revenue, profits, equity, debt
    1. debt is a financial instrument that can be good
    2. Google has 280Billion dollars in cash. Apple around 310Billian in cash.
    3. don't get security from 'buffer in bank' - get it from God.
    4. 6 months worth of expenses in an account should't be there?
  2. brand recognition - be intentional about making social capital. When it works for you, you can take that future revenue to the bank. When enough people know who you are, they just come and do business with you. "my friend told me we should do this, so where do I join?"
    1.
  3. Human capital. get people working inside your business.
  4. Time Capital - the smallest. Once it's used - it's gone forever. We only have a cetain amount of time. this is the biggest issue we all face. the allocation of time capital.

savings $7000
bank $900
equity $900000 (house)
debt $203000 (house) plus $8000 (credit card)

Social capital:

Human capital: Us, Jess, Tomas

The business we want in one year time:

outsourcing professional services, meeting new clients, looking after them, upselling them because they're doing so well that they can afford more services.

presenting playbooks for new prospects, and existing clients periodically.
new office down the hall - bigger, more profesisonal area\
external signage (branding)

YOU CAN'T MAKE BIG MOVES MAKING SMALL DECISIONS.

build a business model around taking WEz's 200k , deploying it in our business, so that Wez can get 100k in year one, two, three, then 200k back.

Afternoon

What do we need to do now to start this??

Build brand capital - Marketing - set up our own review managemnet

get photo shoot done, update website to reflect new style of marketing, do some videos for website.

Make sure Google ads are congruent with new offerings.

leverage - ever more with ever less
ever increasing outputs from ever decreasing inputs.
EVERYTHING YOU DO THAT IS NOT DOCUMENTED IS SOMETHING YOU WILL DO FOREVER.

slack is fast for team communication

What can we implement in business so we are all faster - or so we all do not have to be in touch with team - internal communications

the systems manual can be videoed by the 'show pony' in the office.

what do we need to change to improve reportings in our office?
thomas - list of jobs each Friday
jess - create kpi's.

less foxes
cute but 'i want to devour'

catch the little foxes that spoil the vine when the vine is in bloom.

brainstorm, little foxes that creep up in your day in your week, in your business, in your team.
